Hi! I’m Calli, welcome to studio elise.

Originally from Raleigh, NC, I briefly stepped outside of my bubble to live in Charlotte, NC during and post-grad . I currently reside in Raleigh to be surrounded by family as I start one of my own. One of my favorite leisure activities is travel - I have visited 7 different countries so far!

My minor in rhetoric and background education in nurse assisting pair well with my bachelor’s of arts in interior architecture + design to inspire my passion for built environments in situ: spaces that tell a compelling story informed by an intersectional and holistic understanding of context.

My many roles as a medical professional, peer tutor, preschool teacher, and high-end residential designer have greatly shaped my perspectives on the role of a designer and our responsibility to community culture, accessibility, and sustainability.

I am most inspired by the concept of civically engaged design: projects that bring people together in an act of integrity and transformation. Through my experiences, I have developed empathy, research, and craft skills through which I envision a world of spaces designed to elevate healing and inspiration.
